Sustainable Management for the Fashion Industry

§ EcoAlf: From Trash to Treasure / Spain  –  Fashion With a Second Life

§ Brand Concept: Transforming waste into high-quality fashion, minimizing environmental impact while maximizing style.

§ Recycling Roots: “There is no such thing as waste, only resources out of place.” Founded on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, awash in plastic debris, EcoAlf turned trash into treasure, pioneering the use of recycled materials in fashion.

§“BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLANET B”

1. Contribution to the Ecology System:

. EcoAlf actively invests in ongoing innovation and R&D, creating more than 300 high-quality fabrics with technical properties from recycled materials like plastic bottles, fishing nets, and post-industrial wool.

. The company’s technology not only minimizes natural resource consumption through recycling but also repurposes waste into raw materials, offering a second life to discarded items.

2. Eco-Friendly Campaigns and Efforts:

. The global movement spurred by EcoAlf’s “BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLANET B” campaign (2015) sought to mobilize individuals worldwide for the planet’s sake.

. Noteworthy achievements include recycling over 200 million plastic bottles, conserving more than 38 million liters of water, and dedicating 10% of profits from the campaign to the Upcycling the Oceans project, supporting ocean cleanup endeavors.

. Lost Colors Collection (2023), represented the upcycling the oceans project, supporting ocean cleanup endeavors. This collection resulted in saving over 17.6 billion liters of water and 1,850 tones of CO2 emissions.

§The objectives of Upcycling the Oceans are: to collaborate in cleaning up the oceans, to give a second life to recovered marine waste, and to raise awareness of the problem to prevent it.

§Upcycling the Oceans has recovered more than 1,000 tonnes of trash from the bottom of the ocean since its origins in 2015.
